Snowdrops – the Sunday Jigsaw

GALANTHUS, from the Greek meaning ‘milk flower’, is the family name of about twenty species of plants we know as snowdrops. They mostly flower in winter, but some in spring, are some of the first flowering plants to grow in the New Year, and so are seen as harbingers of better times.
