Preston Family Show Day Saturday, August 8 at Nag’s Head.

PRESTON SHOW takes place this Saturday, August 8, in the grounds of the Nag’s Head, Sproatley Road, Preston, starting at 12 noon. The traditional family fun day includes all the activities of a fair and gala, with a light-hearted but competitive produce and crafts show and exhibition. Charity and other stalls ensure that visitors are kept occupied whilst raising money for local good causes. Entertainment takes place the whole afternoon on the stage with popular club artist Liam Pattison headlining. Admission on the day is £1, and under-3s go free.

The Show Tent will feature all the entries to the traditional show, with 34 classes from the best selection of mixed vegetables, best single rose in a vase, to the best handmade craft item. The photography classes – The Open Photography Competition – are sponsored by Hedon Viewfinders Photography Club, and entries will include: Animals, colour, and monochrome photos, with a special category for those aged 16 years and younger. Entries in all the show classes should be ready to display in the show tent by 10.45 am, open from 9 am on the day of the show.
