Paint over car

Police UK SNENA PAINT ATTACK on the car of a senior citizen has shocked the neighbourhood on Draper’s Lane, Hedon.

The car parked in Johnson Court was attacked with a pale green coloured paint sometime during Saturday night / Sunday morning (30th/31st March 2013).

Wayne Lewis told us:

“The true extent of the damage isn’t visible in this picture. It’s all in the vents, roof and back of the car. It’s believed the car will be written off with the cost of £400 excess to the owner; not to mention the increased premiums for him and everyone in the area.

I imagine the person who’s done this probably can’t even spell the word respect, if they had any they’d realise how hard people have to work to own any sort of car. This is my grandad’s car, it was a recent treat to himself as he’s never put himself first and he was due to take my grandmother out for their 57th wedding anniversary.

I hope the person who did this had a good laugh at the emotional and financial expense of two OAP’s.”

The car was parked in plain view of a number of overlooking properties so it is hoped that someone can help police with information leading to those responsible being caught.

Anyone with information should contact Humberside Police on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
