CALENDARS of Collection Days for the new fortnightly collection service for the Green, Blue and Brown bins are currently arriving through local doors.

Upon commencing the new fortnightly collection service, residents are being told that they should now put CARDBOARD in their BLUE BIN rather than the Brown one.

The Council has also launched a new text message reminder service. To subscribe you should text the black bold code number bottom-right of your Waste Collection Calendar to the mobile number shown. To sign up costs the price of a normal text message. (Note: When we tried it initially didn’t work as the I in the code was actually a number 1 which was very unclear from the type of font used.)

Once signed up to the text message reminder service, you will be sent a reminder the night before each green, blue and brown bin collection.

For any queries with the new service, residents are advised to visit the East Riding Council’s website, or call 01482 395586.
