Gardening Project at Rosedale Health Centre

9:30 am

HUMBER NHS Foundation Trust’s voluntary services team is running a weekend project over the summer, which involves maintaining and developing the Rosedale Health Centre garden in Hedon

The project is aimed at encouraging people with learning disabilities to get involved in the gardening project which will be a fun, meaningful activity.

Organisers said the project will offer people with a learning disability a chance to contribute as a volunteer and get involved in a fun, meaningful activity.

Carole White, voluntary services manager at the trust, said: “It’s great to see a volunteer project with so many plus points. The garden gets some much-needed tender loving care, the participants enjoy themselves and learn new skills, and the family and carers can have a break.”

Over the next three to four months the project will improve the different themed areas of the garden.
