THE RESULTS were announced for the Hedon in Bloom 2013 competition last night.
An Awards Ceremony took place at the Town Hall where the BBC’s Doug Stewart handed out certificates for the best gardens.
Twelve gardens had entered the competition and Doug congratulated all the gardeners for taking part: “I’m a great believer in competitions like this – if people don’t enter then there would be no competition so thank you for taking part. I’ve really enjoyed myself looking at so many fantastic gardens in Hedon, so congratulations to all.”
The 1st place results:
Best Container Garden: Derek and Mavis Rosindale – Magdalen Lane
Most Colourful Garden: John Thompson – Holcroft Garth
Best All Round Garden: Derek and Mavis Rosindale – Magdalen Lane

Doug Stewart asked the competitors to do one more thing; “Tell your neighbours and friends about the competition. We want even more gardens entering Hedon in Bloom next year!”
