Co-op Travel charity cycle eventTHIS WAS the scene in the Co-op Travel Shop window in Hedon on Friday (26th April 2013) – Rachel Grantham stops to give us the ‘thumbs up’ indicating that she’s well on the way to Birmingham!

The challenge was to use the exercise bike to clock up the miles it would take to cycle from Hedon to Birmingham – and to get there within 7 ½ hours. The event aimed to raise money for the Cash for Kids charity sponsored by Viking FM. Viking Radio were there to broadcast live from the event.

Rachel was not the only cyclist on the day – also taking part was Sally Mason, Lorraine Gill, and Daniel Bennett.

In the travel store itself – as well as booking holidays – you could also take part in a naming the teddy bear competition and donate for goodies from the charity cafe!
