EAST RIDING COUNCIL has launched a consultation on its draft Local Plan which proposes specifically to
“Support the expansion of the Port of Hull at Hedon Haven, to enable the growth of the off-shore renewable energy industry and support Greenport Hull.”
An image used in the draft Allocations Document (the specific document that identifies sites for development or protection) is republished above and perhaps gives us a glimpse of the type of development hoped for by council planners at the Hedon Haven!?
As well as setting the scene for future economic development in the East Riding up until the year 2029, the Local Plan also sets out plans to support the construction of 1,400 new houses each year.
The documents and plans relating to the consultation will be available to view at Hedon Library between Thursday 21st February – Wednesday 27th February 2013.
A Drop-in session to speak to an officer about the draft Local Plan will take place at the Library on Tuesday 26th February from 2pm – 7pm.
The consultation on the Local Plan will end on Friday 5th April 2013.
