On behalf of all motorists that drive down Hooks Lane towards Camerton in Thorngumbald, I would like to thank the good Samaritan I saw this morning.

I was driving home from work and as I turned onto Hooks Lane  a 4×4 drove past and was towing what looked like a do-it-yourself grit spreader. I don’t  think he was a council worker as he looked like a normal householder.

The back road down Hooks Lane towards Paull is very rarely gritted by the council and it’s now like a sheet of ice. I think this kind gentleman was probably only gritting past the houses but it’s very much appreciated .

If any Hedon Blog readers know of any unsung heroes please leave a comment telling everyone of their kind deed.
