THE PUBLIC HEARINGS into the proposed boundary changes take place today and tomorrow (24th/25th October 2011) at Hull City Hall.
See the Boundary Commission website for details at Public Hearings, Hull for details and a draft timetable.
For some background information visit HU12 at Boundaries Debate.
Tomorrow should be particularly interesting when between 1pm and 2:30pm Karl Turner MP (for East Hull) and Graham Stuart MP (Beverley & Holderness) will both be speaking.

I’ve summarised the debate between the two MPs that took place yesterday at the Public Hearings: See Members of Parliament debate Boundary Changes on HU12.
Beware of intense apathy !!
I booked a spot to speak at the public hearing in Hull’s City Hall yesterday but I have to say the turnout was very disappointing. There were only 9 people in the hall and 5 of them were officals of the Boundary Commission !!! Apparently it had been like that all day and there had been very few speakers.
Bloggers, whatever you think of the proposal to include SW Holderness in with Hull, don’t miss your opportunity to be heard. You have until 5th December to put your thoughts forward.
I attended the hearings yesterday to listen to Karl Turner MP and Graham Stuart MP to give their representations. Both MPs had brought one other person with them, and there was somebody from the Hull Mail present – but other than that I was the only member of the public there.
Following the MPs speeches the hearing was adjourned due to lack of notified speakers.
The consultation appears to be a public non-event at the moment – but the results of which we might all live with for some time!
