GRUPOTEC RENEWABLES UK is proposing the construction of a 42-megawatt solar farm on land (72 hectare site) to the south of Hedon.
“The Harbour Farm Solar Farm could be operational for 40 years, “according to Grupotec, “following this, the site will be returned to its current state. Plans are being prepared for the scheme and are due to be submitted to East Riding of Yorkshire Council in Winter 2022.“
A consultation event was held about the solar farm in July at the Hedon Town Hall, but public feedback on the proposals can still be made via the Harbour Farm Solar Farm website. The website contains all the material available at the consultation event and there is a feedback form on the front page of the site which can be downloaded and returned by email.

Comments and feedback on the proposals, which may be influential in their final design and are encouraged by Grupotec, can still be made on the feedback form until the deadline Friday, 7 October 2022 (note the feedback form gives the date Friday 30 September).
There will be a further opportunity for members of the public to comment on the formal planning application when it is submitted later in the year.
