Preston Show and Family Fun Day
Preston Show and Family Fun Day take place on Saturday, 6 August 2022 on the grounds of the Nag’s Head, Sproatley Road, Preston. The gates at this community event open at midday and there will be fairground rides, bouncy castles, live entertainment and performers, and lots of stalls. A fundraising Raffle and Tombola will take place. The day also includes the traditional free-to-enter crafts, gardening and cookery show with 29 classes to enter. It costs 0.50p to enter the grounds. Gates open at 12.00 noon.

The show, over the years, has resulted in thousands of pounds being raised and donated to local charities and good causes. A number of these have been NHS partner organisations. This year, one of the aims of the show organisers, the Preston Village Community Group, is to continue this NHS-themed support by donating a number of blood pressure monitoring machines to Holderness Health. The new machines will enable home monitoring to support the diagnosis and management of hypertension. It is commonly known that untreated high blood pressure can cause strokes and heart attacks. It is hoped by providing this essential equipment many patients in the local area will benefit.
It is also hoped to support a number of other small charities and beneficiaries would include Preston Brownies, and the PATT Foundation (Plant A Tree Today) a small charity that organises a community group of gardeners and ex-service personnel with a base in Preston.
