Tribute to Hedfest! Takes place Friday 3 June 2022

Friday 3 June it’s #Hedfest22 with three stages, including the open air one at Far Bank off Drapers Lane from 2pm – 10pm.

IT’S NOW LESS THAN A MONTH AWAY FROM #HEDFEST22. The Hedon Festival takes place on Friday 3 June as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations. With a carnival parade, children’s entertainment and fairground there will be lots for families to enjoy, but it is live music and performance that will make #Hedfest22 special.

Henry Priestman and Friends is a tribute to Hedfest by Hedon-born singer and songwriter Henry Priestman. And while Henry can’t make Hedfest this year, it harks back to and celebrates some of the wonderful music he was playing when he and his friends performed at Hedfest16.

The video was recorded last year in lockdown conditions and reflects some of the measures that artists and performers had to take in order to meet and entertain virtually. Look out in particular for the guest appearance from Mark Kermode the TV and newspaper film critic in “Yachting Type(s)”. And we guarantee you will go away from the video with memories and the sounds of “The Ghosts of a Thousand Fishermen (still drink down Hessle Road).”

Turn up the volume. Sit back, and enjoy our Hedfest Tribute! With thanks to Henry Priestman and Friends.

The Open Air Stage at #Hedfest22 on Friday 3 June will be at Far Bank off Drapers Lane and will be open from 2pm and close at 10pm.
