PICNIC TABLES provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council which became the subject of complaints when located at Market Hill have now been moved to Far Bank (Drapers Lane).
Whilst no formal complaints had been lodged with the police regarding their location at Market Hill, the Hedon Town Council confirmed that the tables could be moved to other locations. And at its Property Committee meeting on 14 April 2022 the council agreed to their temporary relocation to Far Bank with two being located near the cricket ground and the third near the children’s playground. The picnic tables would remain there at least until after Hedfest (Friday 3 June).
The tables were moved to the new location this morning.
I hope the Council are going to provide a ‘hard hat area’ notice as people sitting at this table are in the direct firing line of 6″s being knocked out of the ground which happens regularly.
