Courtesy The Arts Society.

John Ruskin’s ideas inspired the Arts and Crafts Movement and the founding of the National Trust, the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, and the Labour Movement. He brought his collection to Sheffield to inspire the talented craftspeople in the city’s metal trades and to encourage them to see beauty in the world around them.
