Bikers meet ups in Bridlington and Hull last year
HEDON is going to be the centre of a ‘Bike Meet’ in April 2016 with potentially up to 100 motorcycles and riders coming to the town to celebrate everything positive about biking! A major feature of the weekend event will be a mass ride of bikes through the centre of Hedon as part of a wider run out across the area.
The event, expected to offer local residents a great chance to see and learn about some fantastic motorcycles, was mooted by the Hedon Town Council Events Working Group and taken to last night’s full council meeting for support. The council will help facilitate road closures for the spectacular ride through Hedon by the bikers.
Working with the Holderness Hi-siders Motor Cycle Club (which has had regular meetings in the Haven Arms for many years) and the Motorcycle Action Group, the Hedon Bike Meet looks set to bring something very different and exciting to the town next year!
We’ll bring you more about this in the New Year – but for now get the dates 16 – 18 April 2016 in your diaries!
What a great and fun idea!! Will attract lots of visitors and help our local businesses too. We need more of this kind of thing. The Hedon Festival got the ball rolling and, hopefully, we’ll see more and more of this kind of community activity breathing fresh air into our beloved town.
