“Don’t blame me! It’s not my smell!”

MESSAGE from the Stench at Saltend Facebook Group:

stop stench posterJoin us for our 2nd peaceful protest (celebration) outside of Yorkshire Water`s Saltend plant on Saturday the 22nd of August 2015 from 12 noon until 2pm. We have successfully campaigned for the Abatement Notice, however we aren`t going away until it is fixed properly with written assurances.

You need to help us keep up the pressure if things are to get fixed. This is the last planned protest for the time being, make your voice heard! Group photos for publicity purposes will be made on the hour and every half hour between 12 and 2pm. We want to get off to a good start at 12 noon, but the other slots are important too. There is no need to stay for the whole duration if you do not wish to do so.

Also please note the message from the Environmental Control Manager, East Riding of Yorkshire Council:

I would be grateful if you could return any completed odour diary sheets regarding odours affecting you at home or your place of employment due to the Hull Waste Water Treatment Works by Friday 28th August 2015 to:

  • Environmental Control (Rm DF 30), County Hall, Cross St, Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire HU17 9BA.

Hope to see as many of you as possible at the gates of Yorkshire Water, Hedon Road.
