KOREAN-style Kickboxing is based on the kicking styles used in Taekwondo martial arts, but incorporates modern, Western-style boxing. Classes are carried out by the East Riding Kickboxing Club who are looking to open a class in Hedon.
Joy Peacock, an instructor with the club and 1st Dan Black Belt in Korean-style kickboxing says:
“I was wondering whether anyone might be interested in any of these classes. They could be aimed at anyone from age 4 upwards and could be either mixed age or kids and adults separately.
“We are not a competitive club and concentrate on the fitness and self-protection aspects of martial arts, although for those interested there is the opportunity for some light contact sparring.”
