summer flowersWITH the summer and more glorious weather fast approaching, then thoughts turn to enjoying our gardens and garden events.

Three events coming up this month seem to have become annual garden traditions in the town!

1. “OMEGA” at 79 Magdalen Gate, Hedon is once again open as part of the National Gardens Scheme. The public can visit this glorious garden on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd June 2014 from 12 – 5.30pm. See Hedon Garden to be open for Charity.

2. The following week on Thursday 26th June 2014, Gaynor Jewitt’s ‘Annual Charity Cake Break’ takes place at “Coronella”, Cherry Tree Lane, Hedon from 11am – 4pm.   See Love Cake and support MS Charity.

3. Also during June, keen gardeners in the town have to make their minds up about entering this year’s Hedon in Bloom Competition.

This event held every year is judged by BBC Radio Humberside’s gardening guru Doug Stewart. This year there are categories for Best Front Garden (large or small), Best Back Garden (large or small), Best Community Garden and Best Allotment.

Get your entry forms from the Town Hall.
