HEDON RANGERS PYTHONS is the new Sunday League boys football team formed when the original Hedon Rangers under 9’s team became over-subscribed. The fledgling pythons squad, based at Eastside at Saltend, have had their new kit sponsored by local Haven Vets.
Evie Beattie from Haven Veterinary Group said: “We’re proud to be able to support youngsters playing sport in the community. They’re obviously really loving their football and it’s a joy to watch.”
The team is managed by former Hedon Rangers senior player, Jon Storey, who is delighted at receiving the sponsorship: “They’re a great group of committed footballers and we’re very grateful to both Haven Veterinary Group and Riverside Property for their generous sponsorship.”
Entering the league in Phase 2 that began in February, the team, based at Saltend, is happy to be playing regular football and is already showing signs of great improvement.
