SKATE PARK: Hedon Town Council has obtained funding for a new Skate Park that will be located at the site of the existing amenity near Far Bank to the South of Draper’s Lane.
The new facilities have been requested by young people themselves in a petition that was handed in to the council almost 12 months ago. They said that the existing skate park was inadequate and a more modern park would be better.
A council working party will be established which will seek to involve young people in choosing the best design possible within the £90,000 budget available.
The council will contact consultants to advise on the plans and draw up specifications. The new facilities will probably be built as an extension to the existing skate park.
