EAST RIDING Council’s Walking for Health Scheme has announced new walks in Paull.

Fancy a 30 minute or a one hour walk? Both will set off from St Andrew Church, in Paull, led by volunteers from the community.  The first 30 minute walk will be on Monday, 12 July at 11am and the first hour walk will be on Sunday, 18 July at 1.30pm.

Regular walking can help lead to a healthier lifestyle; improve confidence, stamina, energy, weight control and help prevent medical conditions such as coronary heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure and stress.

All walks require no specialist equipment, just turn up in loose clothing and suitable shoes. Participants are also asked to bring a drink and an umbrella, as the walks will take place whatever the weather.

There is ample car parking at each walk, plus the chance to use toilet facilities and purchase refreshments at St Andrew Church’s Riverside Pop In Cafe.

If you would like to be a walk volunteer or for more information and to request a walking programme, contact healthy lifestyles development officer Laura Telfer on 01482 392527 or email laura.telfer@eastriding.gov.uk
