THE FREEDOM OF HEDON event took place today Sunday 16th of June 2010. The day was a marvellous display of the Army Cadets exercising their rights to march through Hedon with colours raised and bands playing.

However, the Cadets had a slightly longer wait for Hedon Mayor Ann Suggit than anticipated: The Cadets assembled at 1:00pm but the Mayor was not scheduled to inspect the parade until 1:30pm, so the cadets sat down “at ease” and waited for for the civic party’s arrival.

Following the inspection by the Mayor the Cadets marched through town to St Augustine’s Church where a special service was held.

See the photos of the event below and a video of the march.
