RESIDENTS AND
VISITORS to the town will have noticed that the Hedon town centre toilets have re-opened.
The refurbishment which began in January 2010 has resulted in a new blue, white and grey marble decor scheme.
Also new all-in-one hand washers have been installed which in turn dispense soap, water and then blow air to dry.
The local spokesman for the Tax Payers Alliance has said that the costs of refurbishing loos has been excessive: “It seems to cost a lot to spend a penny”.
And on Twitter @andrew_allison said: “£2 million does seem excessive though. They should look like palaces now, with many thrones!”
