Community Boycott of Hull Fibre.

THANK YOU to those households in Hedon and Preston who have pledged to BOYCOTT MS3 Networks and the Internet Service Providers like Hull Fibre that hope to use their telegraph poles.

This series of articles invites you to email the boycotted companies to remind them that they are subject to boycott for the next 10 years. Use any of the arguments here or send them the link:

Hull Fibre – You are listed as a partner organisation of MS3 Networks based in Hessle, East Yorkshire.

MS3 has forcibly planted telegraph poles in towns and villages in East Yorkshire despite communities saying NO.

In Hedon and Preston, we have organised a COMMUNITY BOYCOTT of MS3 and its partners. This is supported by ONE THIRD of Households in Hedon and Preston – and support for boycott is increasing. This boycott shall remain active for a minimum of ten years and will not be reviewed until October 2033. During the period of boycott residents and businesses will be actively encouraged not to sign up to those providers that choose telegraph poles to deliver services. This includes Hull Fibre.

You have a choice; to remain a partner of MS3 Networks and be subject to community boycott or do the decent thing and disassociate yourselves from the anti-democratic MS3 Networks.

One former partner of MS3 Networks has disassociated itself from the rogue company!

MS3 Networks have been awarded the Internet Stinkers Award for 1. lack of community engagement and 2. poor service delivery. Disassociate yourselves from the Stinkers!

Is it right, that communities who have very clearly articulated that they don’t want unnecessary telegraph poles (through meetings, demonstrations and via their elected representatives), should have them forced upon them? This has been the case in Hedon.

MS3 Networks have been fined 202 times by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for breaches of permits since working in the county. They were subject to a Stop Work Notice on the 1st of November 2023 because of unsafe working. Is this an organisation you want to be associated with?

  1. It’s Connexin rather than Hull Fibre or MS3 that is blighting Hull with its poles. The Newland Avenue area has dozens of poles. Having said that, MS3 laid underground cables in Hardy Street but has still found it necessary to install 2 poles, adding to the 10+ Connexin poles in that street alone. I have not as yet seen any Grain poles but they did find it necessary to dig up the pavements for a second time for their cables . In Germany one rarely sees poles in village or town. Nearly all infrastructure is underground.
