Invite to H2H Saltend Public Consultation:
Local communities are encouraged to attend a public consultation on the H2H Saltend project.
Equinor would like to invite members of the local community and wider stakeholders to participate in the third and final stage of public consultation on their proposed development, H2H Saltend.
Public consultation will run from 23rd January – 24th February 2023. It includes the following events:
- Monday 30th January 2023, 14:00–19:30, Hull City Hall – Mortimer Suite, Queen Victoria Square, Carr Lane, Hull HU1 3RQ
- Tuesday 31st January 2023, 14:00–19:30, Hedon Town Hall, 36 St Augustine’s Gate, Hedon, Hull HU12 8EX
- Wednesday 1st February 2023, 14:00–19:30, Paull Village Hall, 67 Main St, Paull, Hull HU12 8AW
- Friday 3rd February 2023, 14:00–19:30, Preston Village Hall, Main Street, Hull HU12 8SA
H2H Saltend is Equinor’s flagship 600-megawatt low-carbon hydrogen production plant with carbon capture, located within px Group’s Saltend Chemical Park, to the east of Hull. Saltend Chemicals Park is one of the most carbon-intensive sites in the Humber which is the largest CO2-emitting industrial region in the UK.
H2H Saltend could enable industries at the Chemicals Park and within the wider East Yorkshire area to reduce CO2 emissions by nearly one million tonnes annually, representing a 30% reduction in Saltend Chemicals Park’s total current emissions.”
