WHAT’S ON – Service developments
WHAT’S ON – REGULARS will have noticed a number of changes have taken place over the last few months on the Hedon Blog. We’ve had a facelift and have made lots of tweaks in the background designed to better promote and present our What’s On events listings.

Events are now presented in chronological order and can be found easily and simply on the Blog. Those searching for local events via search engines (Google, Bing, etc) will increasingly see our events listed. Once you find your way to the Blog, then your events and similar events will feature prominently.
Hedon Blog Editor Ray Duffill left Facebook in March this year (2022) citing problems with the way that Meta (Facebook’s multi-million $doller parent company) was subliminally influencing behaviour and influencing society with its Metaverse plans. Whilst Meta’s influence is in a long, slow decline, it will still be around for a long time yet. So those seeking event information in one place will still have difficulty and of course, those growing numbers not ‘signed up’ will be ignored by those Meta platforms. Locally Hedon Blog remains a refuge for those not on social media.
For those spending increasing time each day on Facebook, Instagram and the like advertising events (tot up how long you spend on each, you’ll be surprised!), they can also quite simply add their event once to the Hedon Blog listings, and our service will promote it for you. It’s FREE and will always be free.
In the New Year 2023, we intend to add a facility where event organisers, if they choose to, can enter their own event content directly into the Blog with their own posters, logos, etc and it will publish instantly.
New Year 2023 will herald some big changes in Hedon Blog – but our What’s On service will continue to be our main activity serving our loyal local readers.
