Today is an open day for Hedon Museum’s “Remember the 1970s?” exhibition. On each Open Day (Saturday and Wednesday) we will publish information on a particular year during that decade. Today, we look at what was going on in Hedon and nationally in 1974. These fascinating notes were drawn up by Dr. Martin Craven of the Hedon Museum Society.

Hedon Viewfinders meets tonight and weekly every Wednesday at the Haven Arms. All are welcome and there is no need to book at the town’s free, fun and friendly Photography Club.

Hedon Flower Festival is on at the weekend. It focuses on the church but there are four Open Gardens too.

Also this weekend; on Saturday it is the 80th Annual Show of the Roos & District Royal Horticultural Society Show and on Sunday it’s the new ‘Made it Market’ in the Alexandra Hall, Hedon.
