Top Posts for 2021:

The Top Posts for 2021 (other than the daily views on our What’s On? page) were:

  1. the Humberside Police Appeal to find Peter the Pony with 2,015 views. Sadly Peter was found dead not far from his home address in Preston from where he’d been stolen.
  2. While lots of rumours were circulating on social media in July about the sale of the Hedon Co-op store, Hedon Blog was able to confirm the sale of the Co-op in our article on the 15th (1,693 views).
  3. The power of internet searches led to Sandy Bottom Pumpkin Patch reaching our 3rd spot (1,527 views). Sadly as people searched for information, many found our article for 2020 instead of any current information. We hope that this year Sandy Bottom Pumpkins send advance notice of their plans and benefit from those local internet searches.
  4. Ben Hanson Labour’s Candidate for Hedon Town Council with his Empowerment Neighbourhood Plan idea provided the story at our 4th spot (1,218 views). This actually was more popular than any of our South West Holderness Ward election articles posted in 2021.
  5. Our 5th most popular post (1,094 views) was in January and was an article responding to concerns about the old Post Office and the old HSBC buildings.

2021 was the busiest period on the Blog since 2015 which had 339,180 views with 109,306 visitors but with only 487 posts published.

2021 was the year we reverted to our Hedon Blog original name.

Hedon Blog operates on very limited resources and, crucially, very limited volunteer time. If you would like to help Hedon Blog in its work and can volunteer a few hours each week, then do get in touch.
