THE NOVEMBER Cruse Adult Bereavement Support Drop-in service will be held on Thursday 18 from 4pm – 6pm at the Community Junction Coffee Lounge at Hedon Methodist Church.
The Drop-in is open to all bereaved adults in the Hedon and Holderness area no matter how and when a death has occurred.
Adult Bereavement Support Drop-in:
November 2021 sees the return of ‘Movember’. This well-known campaign raises awareness around men’s health and promotes the benefits of talking about difficult topics. Bereavement can certainly be a difficult topic to talk about. Research and Cruse experience shows that, following a bereavement, men are less likely to seek support when they may be struggling with their feelings. Men not talking about difficult matters is thought to be a key reason for the high number of male suicides within the UK. The Movember campaign aims to reduce male suicide rates by creating a society in which men and boys are comfortable having conversations about difficult life experiences.
Bereavement impacts everyone and we all deal with grief differently. Every bereaved person who is struggling with their grief deserves the opportunity to receive the type of support that Cruse freely provides. So please come and chat with us; don’t be alone, we are here to help, and you will be made most welcome.
As always, the Drop-in is open to all bereaved adults in the Hedon and Holderness area. The Hull & District Cruse Branch volunteers have experience in supporting all types of loss and will be available to offer support, no matter how and when a death has occurred.
The Drop-in will provide immediate short-term support, share information about grief and signpost people for further support with Cruse or other agencies, as needed.
If you would like support please visit Fred, Gary, Rachael and Heather at the Community Junction Coffee Lounge, Hedon Methodist Church, Church Lane, HU12 8EL. Limited parking is available.

The Drop-in will take place on Thursday 18th November starting at 4pm and finishing at 6pm. Please visit anytime between these hours, no appointment is necessary. Subsequent Drop-ins will run monthly until March 2022.
