Theft of pony arrests.

TWO MEN aged 26 and 24, were arrested in the late evening of Thursday 22 July 2021 on suspicion of theft. This comes following the news that the missing 33-year-old shetland pony Peter Pumpkin was sadly found deceased on Tuesday 20 July.

The two men remain in police custody whilst the investigation continues.

Inspector Phil Hinch said: “We would like to thank everyone for their support within this investigation and for assisting with our enquiries.

“We understand the emotions and impact that this incident has had on the local community. We have conducted extensive enquiries to get to this stage and these will be continuing.

“If you have any information regarding the reported theft of Peter Pumpkin, or witnessed anything suspicious, please contact us on 101 quoting crime reference 16/72507/21.”
