WE’RE LAUNCHING a new series that will build on and broaden our early popularity with Wednesday Writings. Creative Corner will seek to showcase the work of talented local Holderness residents in the fields of poetry, writing, art, crafts and visual arts.

Do you enjoy creating things?

Whether dabbling in watercolours, oils, sketching, cross-stitch, makrami, origami, sculpture, wood-carving or craft-based arts, writing stories or poems then Hedon Blog can help showcase your work. And let’s not forget photography, video and digital art forms either. If you enjoy making things and would like to share your work to a wider public audience, then we can help.

HU12 Online can help showcase your work.

The clever people at WordPress have provided us with the means to be able to host any type of work you care to submit. We can publish the written word, show pictures of your work, you can even talk about it or show us via audio or video. If you have your own website, Facebook, Twitter or Nextdoor page then we can link to those too.

Parents! Have you got talented kids who’ve drawn or made wonderful things during the lockdowns? Send scans/photos of them in to us with the name, age of the child, and we’ll publish as lasting mementoes.

Your first step will be to contact us by e-mail and send us your work you’d like us to publish and tell us about you, your work and your links to the local Holderness scene.

Creative Corner will run throughout the year. We’ll publish items regularly but will not be limited to any particular day.

I started out with watercolours as most do but then moved onto acrylics and now I use pastels and pan pastels.I sell originals prints and cards of my work.
