ARCHBISHOP of York, John Sentamu, since Advent 2015 has been taking part in a Pilgrimage of Prayer, Witness and Blessing across the Diocese of York. This will take Archbishop Sentamu from the Humber to the Tees and from the A1 to the coast. The Pilgrimage will bring the Archbishop to Hedon on Wednesday 16th March as part of his wider visit to the local benefice.

“From 1st December 2015 to 22nd May 2016, I will be engaging in a Diocesan Pilgrimage and invite you to participate in this Pilgrimage, whether through prayer or in person.
“The vision for this Pilgrimage lies in the roots of our Christian Heritage. As I have prayed and waited on God, I have been inspired by the great Northern Saints, such as Aidan, Cuthbert, and Hilda who took to the road to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ.”
