I can vouch for the blueberry cake at Gaynor’s Annual Cake Break for MS organised at Coronella, Hedon this year – it was scrumptious!

That piece of Blueberry Cake had my name on it! Yum, yum!
Mmm! A piece of Blueberry Cake had my name on it! Yum, yum!

But the cakes – dozens of them – weren’t the only special things on offer at the summer garden party event now in its seventh year held yesterday (25 June 2015) . The sheer enthusiasm of Gaynor Jewitt and her hard-working team of supporters was special too – it made for a lovely, friendly event and one that does wonders each year to raise money for the MS Society.

Deputy Hedon Mayor Councillor Di Storr had stopped by for refreshments and a cake and gave credit to the ladies working behind the cake counter in the kitchen for all their efforts – and thank you to the ladies for jumping in behind Gaynor for this photograph – they were very busy, there was a constant queue for cakes, teas and coffees!

Gorgeous cakes, sunny weather, a raffle and tombola, charming company – just what the Cake Break is all about!
