HERITAGE OPEN DAYS from Thursday 11th – 14th September 2014 celebrate England’s fantastic architecture, culture and history by offering free access to places that might not be normally open to the public.

Paull Church:
St Andrew Church March Services photoLocally St Andrew Church, Paull is taking advantage of the Open Days and hopes that even more people than normal will turn up at the Church Coffee Shop on Saturday 13th September and Sunday 14th September 2pm – 4pm.

The 14th century cruciform plan church at Paull is one of the focal points of village. The Church also has Audio guides and the Paull Heritage Trail walk leaflets available and makes a great base from which to explore the village of Paull, the surrounding countryside and/or the near-by Nature Reserve.

Paull-Heritage-Trail-cover_thumb.jpgA special Church Trail designed by members of NADFAS (The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies) in the form of a question and answer sheet is available for children aged 8 -12. The trail guides the children (and adults) around the church itself highlighting things of interest.

The Church is open EVERY Saturday and Sunday between 2.00pm and 4.00pm, March until October for coffee and cakes – but the Heritage Open Days will give an added impetus for people who perhaps have not visited before to make the trip to St Andrew’s, Thorngumbald Road, Paull, HU12 8AX.

Note 2: Unfortunately Paull Holme Tower will not be open again this year. Despite the recent improvements made to the security and safety of the building there has been difficulty in satisfying all the necessary requirements for opening to the public.
