A TEAM from Haven Veterinary Group are taking part in the Race for Life in Hull on Sunday 13th July 2014 to raise vital funds for cancer research.

The group of ladies, whose ages range from 21 to 52, includes staff from both Hedon and Holderness Road practices.

The team has been organised by Senior Practice Administrator, Evie Beattie and includes Head Nurse, Mandy Dobbs; vets, Kim Barrow and Pippa Kaplowitch, veterinary nurses Katy Pyle and Evie’s daughter, Reegan, a Maths intervention teacher at Archbishop Sentamu School and the Principal vet’s wife, Rachel Morris.

Of the initiative, Evie said: “Everybody knows someone who’s life has been affected by cancer in some way, so we’re proud to do our bit to help. Our target is £100 and we’d welcome any contributions to our Just Giving page.”

The Race for Life is the latest in a series of fundraising initiatives that have raised over £2,000 for charities including Carr House Rescue Centre, Hedon Rangers U9’s football club, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan in the last 12 months.
