MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT Graham Stuart is holding one of his regular Street Surgeries in Hedon Market place at the end of the month (weather permitting).
If anyone has got concerns or issues to raise with the MP, then just approach him or one of the other local councillors at the surgery.
Saturday 31st May 2014 – 10:30am – 11:30am.
Graham Stuart is encouraging his constituents to use ‘FixMyStreet’ to alert the Council to faults they need sorting.
The Hedon Blog has encouraged residents to use FixMyStreet for the last 5 years, and the use of the problem-reporting website by local people has increased gradually during that time.
Hopefully the MP’s statement will raise more awareness about this useful website. Using FixMyStreet makes it easy to register problems – such as potholes, dog fouling, broken street lights and signs – with the East Riding Council
Graham Stuart said, “Many people notice things in their area the Council needs to fix; like pot holes, broken street lights, uneven paving, fly tipping and graffiti, but don’t always know the best way to report them. The Council has lots of departments and it can be unclear which one to contact.
“This website gives a single place to register all council-related problems, taking the hassle out of filing the reports. FixMyStreet enables residents to monitor the progress of a problem and they can publish their own updates about how the issue is being resolved.
“It’s also mobile phone friendly with both an iPhone and android App so pictures can be uploaded and problems reported immediately without the need to get to a computer.”
You can also sign up to receive regular reports on problems reported in the local area.
