THE WIND by Isabel Sutton (10 years old)

I don’t know where the wild wind blows.
Or where it might fly away and go.
Where it might take me, nobody knows.

I don’t know where the wild wind blows.
Over the seas, over the land.
Across the deserts, wearing the sand.
The spectacular breeze is awfully grand.

I don’t know where the wild wind blows.
Or where it might fly away and go.
Where it might take me, nobody knows.

This has been sent in by local song-writing poet Vinny Shepherd on behalf of his friend’s daughter Isabel from Hedon.

Well done Isabel, congratulations on a wonderful poem. One of our Wednesday Writers.

  1. When isobars are close together
    Be sure there will be windy weather;
    And if those isobars get closer
    The gales will come, “O lacrymosa!”

    Love your poem, Isabel. It’s so appropriate for the weather we’ve been experiencing. Keep up the writing!
