IT MIGHT have been Bank Holiday weekend, but two local town councillors were busy in the Market Place discussing local issues with residents on Saturday.
Councillor David Thompson and Councillor Brenda Goldspink were holding the latest in one of the Hedon Town Council’s occasional Street Surgeries.
Councillor Thompson thought such street activities were important: “Unfortunately we don’t get many local residents turning up to the Council’s public participation sessions, so this is a way of taking the Council to the people!”
The Surgery took place between 10am and 12:00 noon on Saturday.
Of course, local residents do not have to wait for a street surgery or meeting to contact their councillors, if you have issues you wish to raise with the Council, local councillors can all be contacted via the official Hedon Town Council website.
