THE SKYRIDE local programme, run by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and British Cycling, is a series of free, fun, guided bike rides around the East Riding. Supported by friendly British Cycling Ride Leaders along scenic planned routes, they’re a great way to get out and about and see the beautiful East Riding countryside on two wheels.
On Sunday, 14 July, at 2pm, Heading around Hedon is a steady six-mile ride starting from Magdalen Lane, opposite Watson Park, Magdalen Lane on Watson Drive. This steady ride, suitable for all those confident with their bikes, will take you on a six mile journey to Burstwick and back. The ride includes both on and off-road sections and (including a refreshments stop in Burstwick) will take about 1 hour 40 minutes to complete.
