WE ARE conducting a very simple Food Prices exercise during 2013. We will be following the prices of milk, butter, bread and carrots at the big Co-op store on Hull Road, Hedon.

Carrots are the product that change almost every month. Last month a 500g bag cost £0.85 and included 50% extra = 750g.  This month they cost £0.90 but for a new size bag of 600g.

Actual Carrot Prices so far in 2013 (always bought in the first week of the month):

  • Jan – 50p – 500g (* This was an offer price so we listed £1 as our bench mark in January)
  • Feb – £1 – 500g
  • Mar – 50p – 500g
  • Apr – 85p – 750g (* 50% extra)
  • May – 90p – 600g
