A NEW BROCHURE and Guide Book has been published about St Augustine’s Church which will delight all those interested in the history of the 820+ year old “King of Holderness”.
With marvellous photos taken by Paul Baker and including a separate artistic floor plan of the church, the brochure compiled by Dorothy K Winter, provides a beautiful souvenir of this focal point of the town of Hedon.
Giving her thanks to Hedon Town Council for sponsoring the publication, Dorothy stressed that the brochure was not about worship, but featured fascinating information about how the church and the building had evolved together over time.
Only a limited number of these beautiful booklets have been printed. They are designed to be distributed for a donation to the church’s restoration funds, and they are indeed a collector’s item and we are sure they will be in great demand.
So, if you want a unique present for a friend – or yourself – then get your cheque book out when you next visit the church. Definitely a worthy investment!
