Community First Responders training dummiesTHE LOCAL Community First Responders group will be at the large Co-op store, in Hedon on Saturday 16th March, 2013 between 10am – 4pm with a Display Ambulance provided by Yorkshire Ambulance Service.

Hedon Community First Responders are volunteers who are trained to provide essential life-saving aid before an ambulance crew arrives. Responders can be first on the scene in the vital few moments after a patient suffers breathing difficulties or has stopped breathing.

There will be a chance to have a chat with the members of the local Responders team, and find out more about the group and the support they give to Yorkshire Ambulance Service in Hedon, Preston, Paull, and Thorngumbald.

There will be a chance to try out your CPR (mouth to mouth – cardiac resuscitation) skills.

If you would like to know more, or if you are interested in joining, drop in on the team on Saturday 16th March and have a chat.

You can find out more about the Hedon Community First Responders team from Coordinator, Gordon Todd on mobile 07979 691 271 and more general information about Community First Responders from Yorkshire Ambulance Service at the website below.
