Family Christmas by Linda Hinchcliffe

Christmas is but weeks away,

When santa rides upon his sleigh,

Children jumping and laughing with glee,

Parents head in hands sighing, why me?

———————————————–
Grandpa snoring in his chair,

His Christmas hat gives him spiky hair,

Tired now the day is done,

Children dreaming of all the fun,

———————————————–

Mum & dad relax with a drink,

Pots piled high in the sink,

Both shed a little tear,

As it’s all to do again next year

Linda says that this was fun to make up! Has she inspired you to write your own Christmas poem or short story?
