POLICE are reminding motorists to leave their vehicles secure, even when parking at your home address, after a number of thefts in Hedon.

A sat nav was taken from an insecure Daewoo parked on a roadside in the Bond Street area in Hedon. In a similar incident in the same area a Mini Cooper which was parked on a driveway was broken in to and a laptop and sunglasses were taken.

During the same night a Vauxhall was targeted in the Inmans Road area and a sat nav and stereo system were taken. In addition to this, a Skoda which was parked insecurely in Clough Garth area was approached and an electrical item was stolen.

Humberside Police ask that as well as ensuring your vehicles are left secure, that you remove any valuable items from view when leaving your vehicles unattended. Some of the incidents above occurred when vehicles were parked on private driveways.
