Polling Station – One of the many uses of the Alexandra Hall

THE ALEXANDRA HALL on St Augustine’s Gate has been at the centre of Hedon’s community ever since it was built (in 1986). It hosts nearly all our major public and civic events in the town.

The Hall (and the two smaller rooms upstairs) additionally is the venue for a wide variety of community and private bookings.

The ‘business’ of running the Alexandra Hall is done by a voluntary committee under the auspices of a charity specifically established in 1978 to run a community centre benefitting the people of Hedon.

That committee is now appealing for volunteers to get involved to help keep the Hall running.

“Volunteers needed urgently for the Committee of the Alexandra Hall to keep the Hall running for the benefit of the local community”
