THE RED CROSS SHOP on St Augustine’s Gate is having a local launch of the national organisation’s Give & Gain Card.
Working like a supermarket club card, Give & Gain aims to reward people for their charity shopping.
Estelle Roberts at the shop said: “This card will let you collect points while you shop, and you’ll then receive vouchers that you can redeem at any Red Cross shop or donate back to us.
For the first week after the launch on Thursday 8th November 2012, cardholders will get double points and also receive a 10% discount on all purchases. So come and see Julie and the team, check out our latest winter and Christmas stock, and sign up for your card so you can start earning points straight away.
And remember, we’ll be open when the lights are switched on, so pop in, say hello, try your luck on our tombola.”
Julie, the Shop Manager says that they want to give a big ‘thank you’ to all their regular shoppers and reward their loyalty by offering Give & Gain, which gives one point for every £1 spent in the charity shop.
Just hand over your card at the till and your points will be added on. You will receive a £1 voucher for every 100 points you gain.
Using your card and saving your points, you will be able to:
- Get discount vouchers in the post at least twice a year
- Benefit from special points offers in the shop
- Donate to Red Cross projects
- …and more special offers are planned for card holders!
It’s also a great scheme to encourage new customers to use the shop as well.
Hedon Red Cross is always on the lookout for new stock donations. And the Gift Aid element of the loyalty scheme means that the Red Cross can reclaim tax on all the money made from the stock you donate – that’s an extra 25p for every £1 at no extra cost to you.
