FOLLOWING ITS RE-DECORATION which also involved the removal of the pool table from the lounge, the King’s Head is keen to show off its new improved premises.
Cherie Lawrence, who specializes in singing Jazz, Country and Easy Listening tracks, will be appearing at the venue on the evening of Saturday 30th April.
Cherie says on her MySpace that she sounds like “a modern day Patsy Cline with a splash of Karen Carpenter” 🙂
With the time, money and investment spent on refurbishing the lounge I get the impression that the new managers (Nick and Sue?) are here to stay.
It certainly looks a bit brighter in there! And the fact that they have booked a family-friendly act like Cherie Lawrence for their first entertainment also speaks volumes about the direction they want to take the pub.
