THE RE-BUILDING of Inmans Primary School is well under way. The
school was hit by the floods of 2007 but had also suffered from floodwater damage in 2000.
The school is being re-built on higher ground (the old school playing field) using funding awarded by the Government for such flood-hit schools. It is expected to re-open in 2011.
Once the building is in use the old school will be demolished and turned into a playing field so the school doesn’t lose any facilities.
NOTE: The U.K. Health and Safety Executive (HSE) recently sent a message to parents that building sites are not playgrounds. As school holidays are well underway in Britain, the HSE encourages parents to warn their children of the dangers of playing on construction sites.
