THE HEDON NEWSLETTER is now available to pick up from local shops, pubs and public buildings. The community newsletter contains a fascinating mix of news, notices, information, local history and entertainment.

The front page explains about the Flood Report commissioned by Hedon Town Council following the big floods of June 2007. The report constructively challenges the formal views of the Environment Agency regarding the measures that need to be taken to alleviate the risk of flooding in the area.

In the Editorial Mike the Editor pays his respects to the Town Council for backing the newsletter and reminds local groups and individuals to send in their news and views. This can be done easily by post, telephone or e-mail at

Local businesses and organisations can also advertise in the Newsletter to reach a larger audience of local people and customers. Advertisements will help support this important local community news project.

The deadline for material to be submitted to the next Hedon Newsletter is 15th March 2010.
